Privacy Notice for the Protection of Personal Data

General Declaration

In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (hereinafter referred to as “the Law”), the Sindicato Nacional Alimenticio y del Comercio, Similares y Conexos de la República Mexicana (National Food and Commerce, Similar and Related Union of the Mexican Republic), an institution dedicated to the study, defense, and improvement of the working conditions of its members, establishes this Privacy Notice in accordance with the following:

Terms and Conditions

  1. The purpose of this Privacy Notice is the protection of personal data provided by our members, through its legitimate, controlled, and informed processing, in order to guarantee their privacy, as well as your right to informational self-determination.
  2. Personal Data is any information concerning an identified or identifiable natural person; the person responsible for collecting personal data is the union representative assigned to your workplace.
  3. The registered office of the union is located at Calle Campos Eliseos 345, 8th floor, office 802-A, Colonia Polanco V Sección, Miguel Hidalgo, Mexico City, Postal Code 11560.
  4. By providing your Personal Data in writing, through an application, paper format, digital format, email, or any other means, you accept and authorize the union to use and process your provided personal data and information in an automated manner. These will become part of our database with the purpose of using them, including but not limited to: identifying you, locating you, communicating with you, contacting you, sending you information, as well as sending or transferring them to third parties, within and outside the national territory, by any means permitted by Law to fulfill our social purposes. Through the acceptance and authorization for the processing of your personal data in the aforementioned terms, you expressly empower us to transfer them to authorities of any level (federal, state, municipal), public and private organizations, various companies, or individuals, within and outside of Mexico, for the purpose of giving you participation in benefits, financial services, and union campaigns promoted in favor of education, health, or access to discounts for the acquisition of products or services for our members.
  5. The duration of the handling of your personal data will be indefinite from the date you provide them to us, and you may oppose the handling thereof at any time you consider appropriate, with the limitations of the Law. In case of requesting your opposition, the union will stop handling your personal data without any responsibility on our part.
  6. The party responsible for the processing of your personal data is obliged to comply with the principles of lawfulness, consent, information, quality, purpose, loyalty, proportionality, and responsibility protected by the Law; for this reason, based on articles 13 and 14 of the Law, the union undertakes to maintain strict confidentiality of your personal data, as well as to maintain the administrative, technical, and physical security measures that allow protecting them against any damage, loss, alteration, access, or unauthorized processing.
  7. In terms of what is established by Article 22 of the Law, you have the right at any time to exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition to the processing of your personal data through a request via email to the following address: comunicacion@seccion11.com or in writing with the union representative of your workplace.
  8. The union will occasionally modify and correct this Privacy Notice; therefore, we ask you to review this notice regularly on our Facebook account: Sindicato Nacional Alimenticio y del Comercio or on our website.
  9. The union will protect your personal data in the terms of the Law and will communicate the elements contained in the fractions of Article 16 of the Law.
  10. Providing your personal data is a fact that presumes your total acceptance of the content of this privacy notice; however, we ask you to sign this document in agreement. I accept in conformity the content of the Privacy Notice given to me by the Sindicato Nacional Alimenticio y del Comercio, Similares y Conexos de la República Mexicana.
